Three people charged with murder and robbery have been convicted

CIBITOKE June 1st (ABP) – The High Court of Cibitoke, in its public hearing, under flagrance proceedings, sentenced on Friday, May 27, towards the evening, three people and acquitted three others, in the case RMP 20.006.

In its decision, the named Charles Minani alias Kariyariya and Diomède Ntakirutimana were sentenced for two cases: the murder of motorcycle-taxi driver Théogène Itangishaka, from Masango in Bukinanyana commune, and the robbery of his motorcycle.

They were sentenced to life imprisonment. A third, by the name of Jean Marie Ndihokubwayo, a soldier from Ngagara Camp, a native of Bukinanyana commune, was sentenced for that aggravated theft of a motorcycle and is to be sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Three other people, namely Dieudonné Nzeyimana, Dieudonné Ntunzwenimana and Egide Irankunda, arrested for investigation reasons, were acquitted. The three condemned must also pay in equal shares, compensation amounting to thirty million BIF to the father of the victim, Jacques Ntamavukiro.
