MURAMVYA December 24th (ABP) – Around 7,400 eucalyptus tree seedlings were grown during environmental Thursday work on the Migezi and Mwegera hills of Mbuye commune in Muramvya province (central-western Burundi) with the aim of launching the silvicultural year 2021-2022.

That activity saw the participation of the chief of staff in the office of the governor of Muramvya province, Mr. Christophe Nemeyimana, communal administrators and the director of the Provincial Office of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock (BPEAE) in Muramvya.

In his occasional speech, the chief of staff in the governor’s office indicated that the government has set up the national program Ewe Burundi Urambaye which calls on the Burundians to grow trees of different categories at the level of all public lands.
