CANKUZO, February 6th (ABP) – Some residents of Munzenze village in Mishiha commune of Cankuzo province are complaining about cases of theft of harvested in their foelds, which are perpetrated by children recently removed from the street. The latter are grouped together in a national reception center located in that village, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

In addition to those cases of theft of harvest, the inhabitants of that part of the province of Cankuzo indicate that those children constitute a potential source of insecurity given that some of them have already started to indulge in excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages. The Mishiha communal administration also deplores cases of bad behavior displayed by those children.

During tree growing work carried out on Saturday, on Musemo village in the Mishiha commune, the first vice president of the Senate, Mrs. Denise Ndadaye, noted that the senate is aware of that concern, specifying that it has already been brought to knowledge of the ministries concerned.

She also announced that the Senate plans to convene the minister in charge of solidarity and that of the interior with a view to jointly deciding on the strategies to be implemented to find a lasting solution to this problem.

However, Mrs. Ndadaye encouraged the administration to become actively involved in the supervision of those children.
