CANKUZO March 7th (ABP) – The Governor of Cankuzo Province, Mr. Boniface Banyiyezako, congratulated the youth for taking the lead in promoting rabbit farming. It was on Saturday March 4, 2023, during community development work which consisted in ironing out around a meeting hall under construction in the Camazi zone of the Gisagara commune, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
The governor of the Cankuzo province thanked the people of that zone who stand out in the participation in various provincial development works.
He called on the entire provincial population to strengthen community development and self-development work in order to alleviate poverty.
He recalled that the Cankuzo province is still at 6% in the livestock of rabbits. Governor Banyiyezako took the opportunity to congratulate young people for taking the lead in promoting that livestock while urging the rest of the population to follow suit.
He did not fail to call on the people to respond massively to the appeal to fight against straw houses. He, for that purpose, warned the officials at the level of the villages who will be caught encouraging, by favoritism, those who still build such houses, instead of promoting decent houses. He revealed that they will be punished.
