KAYANZA January 22nd (ABP) – The Speaker of the National Assembly, Daniel Gélase Ndabirabe, joined on Saturday, January 20, 2024, the residents of Gatara commune, in Kayanza province (north), in the work of filling potholes in the road joining the Kayanza, Gatara, Gahombo, Muhanga and Ruhororo communes of Ngozi province. That work took place at Rubagabaga village, Mbirizi zone, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

On that occasion, the governor of Kayanza province, Colonel Rémy Cishahayo, deplored the fact that recent rains have damaged roads, making them almost impassable. With that in mind, he urged residents to tackle rehabilitation work because, according to him, development is impossible when there are no roads.

In turn, the President of the National Assembly, Mr. Daniel Gélase Ndabirabe, stressed that development work is the real pillar of development. He recommended to the inhabitants of Kayanza to strengthen security, to always remain vigilant, especially as that province borders Rwanda. On behalf of the National Assembly, he congratulated the defense and security forces for the bravery and love of work that characterize them.

Given that the Gatara commune is densely populated, the Speaker of the National Assembly invited couples to consult together to plan births, because, he insisted, arable land is dwindling day by day. “Bringing many children into the world becomes a burden and a danger for society,” he continued, urging young girls to abstain to avoid early pregnancies.
