BUBANZA, October 4th (ABP) – The governor of Bubanza province, Cléophas Nizigiyimana, joined the residents of Mpanda commune (north-west of Burundi), in community development work, which consisted of the concreting of 3 classrooms of Kinywanuma basic school, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

In his speech, Governor Nizigiyimana called on the inhabitants of that province to take ownership of the development of their respective localities, through community work. He explained to them that they are the first beneficiaries of the infrastructure built, namely schools, health centers, roads and others.

Mr. Nizigiyimana also called on them to increase agricultural production, for this crop season A, by drawing contour lines in order to protect arable land, sowing selected seeds and those that resist heavy rains, and by the use of organic fertilizers.

The governor of the Bubanza province subsequently asked those constituents to put an end to idleness and to think about improving production, each in their sector of activity. And civil servants were urged to serve as a good reference in agricultural production, with the establishment of model fields.

Note that the parliamentarians elected in the Bubanza constituency and native executives of that province were present in those community development works.
