Learning trades for single mothers and widowed or divorced women, is a project of Miss Burundi for 2023 edition

BUBANZA September 5th (ABP) – Miss Burundi, 2023 edition, Miss Lellie Carelle Ndayizeye, native to the Bubanza province (north-west of Burundi) presented her project for this year, which consists of supporting unmarried mothers and widowed or divorced women. It was on Friday the September 1st, when different executives native to that province welcomed her to congratulate her.

In her project, Miss Burundi plans to organize those unmarried mothers and women into a cooperative called “Kuboko Kurema”. They will learn trades such as basketry, pottery, sewing and others, and will be made aware of savings and loans. She requests the support from different authorities and partners, and promises to invest in the success of the very project.

Various provincial administrative officials, who took the floor, indicated that having Miss Burundi, native, is an honor for the province. They reassure her about support in the implementation of her project. They promise to connect her to the team of experts, which was set up for provincial development, in order to help her improve her project and make it bankable, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

Note that Miss Burundi 2023 was accompanied by the 2022 first runner-up, Miss Arlette Antoine Sezerano, who is also a native of the Bubanza province.
