RUTANA June 30th (ABP) – The national management of SOS children’s village in Burundi organized an exchange visit for children and young people from the provinces of Rutana, Bujumbura, Cibitoke, Rutana and Muyinga in which that organization hosts children orphans, with the aim of entertaining them, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

The national coordinator of education within SOS Burundi, Mr. John Nahayo, indicated that apart from entertainment, such a visit has an educational purpose, that the children accommodated within SOS children’s village know their country, its provinces, its history and its tourist places from their experience. It is with this in mind, he said, that these children visited the source of the Nile River before going to the headquarters of Rutana province.

The children in SOS Children’s Village dormitories being orphans, Mr. Nahayo said that this visit is also an opportunity for them to feel loved by other children like them, but also by parents as those living with their own parents feel.

He called on the children who participate in those visits to have a spirit of curiosity in order to work hard to have a lot of knowledge. He also called on them to love school and after graduating, the future leaders of the country will count on some children who grew up in SOS children’s villages.
