The 2nd vice-president of the Senate calls on the people to properly maintain the roads

RUTANA March 2nd (ABP) – The second vice-president of the Burundian Senate, Mr. Fabrice Nkurunziza, was on Saturday February 24 in Rutana province (south-east of Burundi) where he joined forces with the population of Musongati commune in the community development work which consisted of filling the potholes in the road leading to the capital of the said commune, it was noted.

In his speech, Mr. Nkurunziza invited the population of Rutana to properly maintain the roads by drawing gutters on all sides of them because they have a great importance on the life of the people.

Speaking about agriculture, Mr. Nkurunziza called on participants to practice coffee growing so that the country can earn foreign exchange by exporting the harvest. According to him, the fertilization of fields has a great influence on agricultural production, hence he called on them to use fertilizers when sowing different crops.

In order to protect their fields, he urged them to draw contour lines following the directions of agricultural monitors, and to plant grasses that will serve as pasture for domestic animals, given that the policy of permanent stabling is still in effect. force. In order to promote the implementation of the vision of Burundi emerging in 2040 and developed in 2060, he invited the population of Rutana to maintain peace and security so that Burundians can develop in peace.

Note that that work saw the participation of the Minister responsible for National Education, the Governor of Rutana and the heads of different services working in that province.
