KAYANZA February 21st (ABP) – The office of the governor of Kayanza (north), in collaboration with the communal administration of Kayanza and the police in charge of civil protection, made a trip to the central market of Kayanza, with a view to the application of the measure issued by the ministry responsible for the Interior in relation to the identification of the occupants of the stalls of the communal markets.

To remedy the irregularities observed, recommendations were made to tenants or sellers of locations, kiosks or shops, a check by ABP has revealed.

The objective of that trip was to see if the tracks intended for the fire engine had not been invaded by traders. It was also a question of realizing that the beneficiaries of the stalls are those who occupy them today.

As noted, said the legal adviser to the Governor of Kayanza, Mr. Jean Marie Vianney Ndayishimiye, the roads laid out for the fire engine are very narrow. He thus asked the communal administration of Kayanza to enlarge them within a period not exceeding March 3.

As for the occupants of the shops, he said that some owners of the shops rented them while others sold them. To the tenants and buyers of kiosks or stalls, he ordered them to conclude contracts with the Kayanza commune within five days. Since there are indecent kiosks built all around the central market of Kayanza, the communal administrator of Kayanza, Mr. Gilbert Nyandwi demanded that they be cleared no later than Monday of next week.

To do this, the commissioner of that market was called on to do everything to block the road to protect any disorder that may occur inside as well as outside the central market of Kayanza. Note that the campaign to identify the occupants of the shops will continue.
