CIBITOKE March 18th (ABP) – In its cattle herd restocking program, the Ministry of the Environment, Agriculture and Livestock, via the Regional Project for Integrated Agricultural Development in the Great Lakes (PRDAIGL), has granted on Wednesday, March 16, veterinary kits to Community Animal Health Agents (ACSA) of seven villages in Rugombo and Buganda communes, in Cibitoke province.

For each ACSA, the kit consisted of a spray pump, a thermometer, a pair of boots, veterinary products and medicines for cattle, worth 700,000 BIF per kit, according to the provincial animal health official, Mr. Jean Sindayigaya.

For the representative of the ministry in charge of livestock, Dr. Désiré Ntakirutimana, those kits come to continue to assist breeders in the management of livestock and the health care of their animals. He invited them to the proper maintenance of these achievements, to properly support their customers, who are the stockbreeders of their respective villages.

For the beneficiaries, they say they are satisfied with that initial support for their activities towards the community, and indicate that they will better serve the breeders of their villages.

As for the  stockbreeders contacted, they commend that support, and reveal that it is a good thing, before completely finishing, for some, the whole package of support kits of 282 cattle, which were distributed to them on February 11th.
