KAYANZA March 7th (ABP) – The MPs on vacation for the month of March elected in the constituency of Kayanza province (north of Burundi) visited on Thursday, March 3, 2022, the inhabitants of Butaganzwa commune, in order to collect their grievances, a check on the site by ABP has disclosed.

Before proceeding with the reception of the grievances of the people of Butaganzwa, the MPs had joined the inhabitants of that commune in the work of planting reeds on the banks of the Ruvubu river. Those works were carried out in Gahise village bordering Rukanu village in Gahombo commune. They continued their visit to Rukambura village in order to collect the grievances of the population of Butaganzwa.

On behalf of the parliamentarians, Mr. Anicet Ndayizeye, insisted a lot on the loan of 10,000,000 BIF that the Burundian government granted twice to all the Sangwe hill cooperatives where he lamented that the reports of last year showed that the sangwe cooperatives have not managed this loan well and that it will be difficult for them to repay it.

Speaking about that observation, the inhabitants of Butaganzwa specified that the first loan of 10,000,000 BIF was oriented towards pig breeding but that, unfortunately, the latter was not productive following the plague.

To get out of the situation, Mr. Pierre Claver Niyubahwe, one of those MPs and senators elected in Kayanza province, instructed the members of the Sangwe cooperatives of Butaganzwa to appropriate the achievements of these cooperatives, ensuring that the heritage is managed as a good father.

To the representatives of these cooperatives, he recommended that they organize general assemblies with a view to highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of their cooperatives, while the administrative officials were invited to follow these cooperatives closely so that they may be benefited by all people.

At the same time, the inhabitants of Butaganzwa also raised the challenge relating to the covid-19 certificate required of young girls and boys who have just been retained in the security corps while it is issued only by the Institute. national public health authority (INSP). To that question, the same MPs promised to submit this complaint to the authorized bodies.
