MAKAMBA, January 4th (ABP) – The provincial administration of Makamba, in collaboration with the Pax Burundi Foundation, organized the New Year’s Eve festivities on the evening of December 31, 2023, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
In his speech, the founder of the Pax Burundi Foundation, Mr. Révérien Ndikuriyo, asked businessmen, native to Makamba or not, to build model hotels, bars and restaurants to give a good image to the headquarters of Burunga province.
The provincial secretary of the CNDD-FDD party, Mr. Sylvain Nzikoruriho, for his part, indicated that Burunga has the potential to be an industrial province. It is in that context that he asked the natives of that province to build in their respective villages, to help their colleagues enjoy the gains of their professional experience as the founder of the Pax Burundi Foundation did.
One of the Foundation’s donors, Mr. Boniface Habonayo, a native of Makamba province living in China, indicated that they will continue to support good development initiatives, especially those designed by the Pax Burundi Foundation and the provincial administration.
The governor of Makamba, Mrs. Tantine Ncutinamagara, encouraged the Pax Burundi Foundation for these initiatives to build playgrounds, schools, hotels, hospitals and instill patriotism in young people.
