RUTANA August 24th (ABP) – Road accidents have been occurring on the roads of Rutana province in these days, participants reported during a meeting held on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the headquarters of the said province by the governor of that province, Mr. Olivier Nibitanga, for the administrative officials and heads of various services, on the issue of security.
Mr. Nibitanga asked the competent authorities to put road signs on all the main roads, which record the most accidents. He invited the administrative authorities to plug all the potholes there.
On the question of cases of theft which are found in shops at the headquarters of the province, the assignment of the guarding of more than one shop to a single person would be at the origin, according to the administrator of Rutana commune, Mr. Eric Ntahimpera. He called for traders working in the same center to pay for the sufficient number of night guards to keep their business safe.
With the aim of combating illegal marriages among couples in the province of Rutana, Mr. Nibitanga said that a day for the legalization of marriages founded illegally in the marital status department will be organized in all the communes of the province, during the month of September.
Mr. Nibitanga called on the administrative officials to work in synergy with the joint security committees in order to fight against any form of insecurity that may arise in their administrative divisions.
