The Head of State has inaugurated the Kigutu medical clinic

BURURI June 21st (ABP) – The Head of State, Evariste Ndayishimiye, proceeded on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, to the inauguration of the medical clinic “Kigutu Hospital and women’s health Pavilion”, in the commune of Vyanda, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

The executive director of the village health works of Kigutu, Déogratias Niyizonkiza, indicated that thanks to reliable partners, that village continues to make considerable progress in terms of health and nutrition. The hospital which was inaugurated by the Head of State has 150 rooms with modern equipment and laboratory. It was built for an amount of more than 25 million US dollars. The hospital will offer a range of services including primary health care, emergency department, physical therapy and rehabilitation, gyneco-obstetrics, ophthalmology, pediatrics, general surgery, neonatology, a training and simulation center with diagnostic services including radiology and a very advanced laboratory.

The Minister of Public Health and the Fight against AIDS, Dr. Sylvie Nzeyimana, thanked the initiatives of Mr. Déogratias Niyizonkiza and asked him to equip the hospital with the necessary equipment and to hire specialist doctors.

For his part, the President of the Republic said the country needs such people who are always thinking about the development of the country. For our country to be among the emerging countries by 2040, he explained, certain things must be done, among others, the health of the people and the quality education of children, so in 2060 the country will be classified among the developed countries, the President of the Republic added. The Head of State expressed the wish that in each region of the country be built such a hospital and a very modern hospital well equipped and with enough personnel, at the national level.
