CIBITOKE June 13th (ABP) – The first vice president of the Burundian Senate, Mrs. Denise Ndadaye, made a trip on Saturday June 10, 2023, to Mugina commune of Cibitoke province, to join the people of Nyempundu village, in community work.

The said work consisted in the maintenance of the track linking Nyempundu to Mabayi commune. That locality was affected by the landslides at the end of 2019, and this resulted in the loss of human lives.

The first vice president of the Senate encouraged the people to maintain the tracks, to facilitate the accessibility of that place by various development partners.

The first vice president of the Senate indicated that this visit is part of the purpose of the implementation of the actions of the government, within the framework of the vision of the Head of State of an emerging country in 2040, and of a developed country in 2060.

She called on the people to go about agriculture and rabbit farming, while providing schooling for all the children. She urged the inhabitants of that locality to work to produce a lot, and to manage the harvest well, to sell only the surplus. She stressed that only work ennobles man.

As for the governor of the Cibitoke province, Carême Bizoza, in his welcome address, he reminded the people to maintain the kitchen gardens, and the churches to mobilize their members in rabbit farming, a livestock requiring little start-up means, but which is very productive, in less time, he said.
