The NGOs are called upon to respect social protection in the implementation of their projects

RUYIGI March 15th (ABP) – The permanent executive secretariat of the national commission for social protection SEP/CNPS calls on those responsible for the projects and programs of non-governmental organizations carried out in the province of Ruyigi, to respect social protection measures in order to guarantee inclusive development.

This appeal was launched by Mr. Désiré Niyiburana, administrative and financial director within the SEP/CNPS after a discussion workshop, held on Thursday with NGOs and projects working in the province of Ruyigi on the ways and means of improving collaboration in the social protection sector. This administrative director makes it known that the need to improve the development of the population remains obvious and requires new strategies.

As Mr. Niyiburana points out, the role of technical and financial partners in the life of the country is unavoidable and colossal sums are invested every year by the State and its partners to promote the development of the population in various regions. of the country, and that in itself is a good thing.

However, he specifies that despite the projects and programs initiated by the various partners, some communities do not manage to achieve sustainable development because of certain partners who do not respect the measures guaranteeing social protection. It thus calls on everyone to adopt a change in behavior and work hand in hand with local administrators and officials to better carry out activities and programs that correspond to the current needs of the people.

The governor of the province Ruyigi Mrs. Emerencienne Tabu, for her part, appreciated that the CNPS had realized this opportunity to exchange with the persons in charge of these projects and programs in order to achieve better collaboration in favor of the good and the well-being. to be of the population.

Finally, it calls on everyone to assess their strengths and weaknesses so that they can pull themselves together and redouble their efforts or resolutely commit to making social protection their own and walk the talk.
