BUJUMBURA December 6th (ABP) – The National Media Council (CNC), organized an extraordinary assembly to elect the president and the executive secretary, on Thursday, December 2, 2021, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
Ambassador Willy Nyamitwe was elected Chairman of the CNC by unanimous vote and Chanel Nsabimbona was elected as Executive Secretary.
Mr. Nyamitwe said he will strengthen press freedom while respecting the laws in force and protecting the mores and customs of the country.
The security and the best interests of the nation will be a priority, he insisted.
