Official launch of a private company operating in the livestock field

BUBANZA, February 15th (ABP) – The Minister responsible for commerce and industry, Marie Chantal Nijimbere and the one in charge of the Civil Service, Venuste Muyabaga, proceeded, on Tuesday February 13, 2024, at Buringa in Gihanga commune (north-west of Burundi), with the official launch of the company “Life way”, belonging to a private man by the name of Prosper Ndangamira, and operating in the field of livestock farming, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

According to the owner of “Life Way”, Mr. Ndangamira, the idea of setting up that company came into him in 2018. He says he started with 20 cows, but currently he is getting to more than 800 improved breed cows, and the company expects 70 new calves during this year. Each of these cows can produce between 30 and 50 liters of milk per day and this company has already created around 400 jobs ; 60 employees are full-timers.

Within the “Life Way” company, the two ministers also inaugurated two components, that of manufacturing various milk products “SeaSky” and the training center in relation to livestock “Sun Way”.

The Minister of Commerce, Transport, Industry and Tourism, Mrs. Marie Chantal Nijimbere, invited Burundians to support such projects because, she said, they are not only beneficial to the State in taxes and duties, but also the surrounding residents benefit from them with the creation of jobs and others. To investors, she asks them to strengthen creativity by discovering everything that can advance farming, a sector considered a key to the achievement of the vision of emerging Burundi in 2040 and Developed country in 2060.

Minister Nijimbere also calls on them to respect the quality standards of their products, to protect the environment, and to pay taxes. She promises to continue discussions with investors with the aim of improving the smooth running of their activities. She asks Burundians to promote local products and maintain peace and security.

Note that the company “Life Way” has six components, namely that of the trade in veterinary products “Nobilis Pharma”, that of livestock farming “Green Farm”, that of transformation of various products into milk “SeaSky”, a center of training on everything related to livestock “Sun Way”, the cattle feed manufacturing component “Food Security Company” and the packaging manufacturing factory.
