CANKUZO January 16th (ABP) – The leaders of the ruling party, the CNDD-FDD, the Bagumyabanga) are called to work in complementarity. That call was made to them by the deputy secretary general of the CNDDFDD party, Mr. Cyriaque Nshimirimana, during the ceremonies of exchange of wishes and presentation of the achievements of that party, in Buhumuza province which brings together the provinces of Cankuzo, Muyinga and Ruyigi. It was Saturday, January 13, 2023, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

During those ceremonies, the secretary of that ruling party in that new Buhumuza province, Mr. Gérard Barutwanayo praised the efforts of the communal secretaries in recruiting new members.

Among other major achievements since the election of the party’s current representation, the official said that more than 300,000 avocado plants have already been planted, more than 900,000 coffee plants, more than 900,000 tree seedlings and more than 48 thousand rabbits are raised in that new Buhumuza province.

Mr. Barutwanayo announced the continuation of that fight for development. Thus, he specified, they will continue planting trees, growing avocados and raising rabbits.

He invited the directors of the provincial offices for the environment, agriculture and livestock to prepare for the avocado tree grafting work.

He, however, pointed out the lack of fertilizer, especially dolomite, which could, according to him, lead to an unsatisfactory yield. He added that Sangwe cooperatives are going backwards due to lack of supervision. He invited leaders to make an effort to contribute to the recovery of those village cooperatives.
