The President of the Republic deplored the behavior of certain individuals who divert the currencies which should be directed to the central bank, to be used to buy medicines, selected seeds, fertilizers and so on.

He also condemned traders who dare to sell subsidized fertilizers elsewhere and intended exclusively for Burundian farmers. The latter are the only enemies left, he added. He recommended to all participants in the said meeting to join their efforts to wage a fierce fight against fraudsters.
