MURAMVYA, November 15th (ABP) – The governor of Muramvya province (central-west of the country), Ephraim Ndikumasabo, asked administrative officials and heads of provincial services to collaborate well with the joint security committees with a view to keeping peace and tightening security. It was said in the discussion meeting on the life of the province, held on Monday, November 13, 2023.

During that meeting, certain recommendations were made. This concerns continuity in the fight against fraud, the launch of announcements by the management of the provincial office in charge of agriculture so that maize farmers can purchase available pesticides against insect pests in order to protect their maize fields.

To the communal administrators, Governor Ndikumasabo recommended that they prepare lists of the people displaced following the crises that Burundi has experienced and who wish to return to their villages of origin in order to give them iron sheets for the upcoming roofing of their houses.

In addition to those recommendations, the governor of the Muramvya province announced that tree seedling planting campaigns are planned during the silvicultural year which will soon be launched, with a view to protecting the environment at the level of the districts in that province.
