CIBITOKE October 26th (ABP) – At least 83 houses were destroyed and two children were injured, by torrential rain mixed with violent wind, which fell on the Kirinzi and Rushimabarimi villages, in Mugina commune, on the evening of October 23, according to administrative sources.
The same sources report 356 people affected by that bad weather. Some people sleep under the stars, and the others are hosted by neighbors.
The administration encourages local solidarity with the victims during those difficult times.
As for the victims, they are asking for support for the rehabilitation of their houses, but also deplore that their fields, especially banana plantations, have been damaged by that bad weather.
