The Burundian Ombudsman reminds parents to keep their children in school

MAKAMBA September 11th (ABP) – The Burundian Ombudsman, Mrs. Aimée Laurentine Kanyana, joined the people of the Makamba commune and province in the earthworks of the land where the Gisenyi zonal market will be built a check on the site by the ABP has revealed.

In her speech Mrs. Kanyana encouraged the territorial administration to continue to recover land properties that were monopolized by third parties.

She asked the people to increase production to have food products to sell when this zonal market is functional. Mrs. Kanyana reminded the people  to keep their children in school and encourage girls to attend school until they graduate.

In her welcoming remarks, the governor of Makamba, Ms. Françoise Ngozirazana, indicated that the territorial administration is in the process of recovering land which was grabbed by people saying that it is their property especially in the Makamba and Nyanza Lac communes.

She also pointed out that the people have already started preparing the fields and is just waiting for the signal to sow.

The Burundian Ombudsman took the opportunity to give the Mabanda communal administrator an envelope counting for the cement that she had promised to contribute to the construction of the Mabanda communal office.
