Police have seized 28 loincloths at the Burundian-Congolese border

CIBITOKE May 30th (ABP) – The police in Cibitoke province in their fight against fraud and smuggling, seized, on Sunday, May 28, 2023 around 5 p.m., at the Nyamitanga barrier, in Buganda commune, 28 fraudulent loincloths of Congolese origin, according to administrative and police information sources.

Those goods, including 15 cleared loincloths and 13 uncleared loincloths in the direction of Bujumbura, belonged to a passenger by the name of Nadège Munezero, aged 34, and living in Nyakabiga, Bujumbura City Council, according to the same information sources. The seized loincloths are in the hands of the police, while the alleged fraudster is at the disposal of a Police Judicial Officer (OPJ) for filling the file, according to ABP’s information sources, in Buganda.
