CANKUZO April 19th (ABP) – Burundi will have to be the light of other countries in the development sector, said the President of the Republic Evariste Ndayishimiye, during the community development works on April 15, 2023, constant at mixing concrete for construction from Kirehe market in Mishiha commune of Cankuzo province.
Mr. Ndayishimiye congratulated the population of that commune for having built the Kirehe market on their own. It is a sign of independence in development, he said.
The Head of State also called on the people to break with begging and advised them to overcome fear by implementing various income-generating projects. He also called on him to join cooperatives to develop because, he stressed, you have to run with the times to succeed.
The President of the Republic also urged the people to teach their children to work in order to prepare for their future from an early age. He took the opportunity to discourage the so-called lazy people, who still frequent “ligalas” while labeling them as thieves, and according to him, one cannot eat without having worked.
President Ndayishimiye further indicated that raising rabbits can lead to raising cows, while pointing out that it is easy to implement. So, he recommended, “start doing these small livestock and farming to get some money.” He also reminded the people of Mishiha that the vision of the country is that all the people will be satisfied in their basic needs to make life easy.
The Head of State also promised that the construction works of the macadamized Gihofi-Kinyinya-Nyabitsinda-Gisuru-Cendajuru road will continue to Gahumo (at the border with Tanzania via Mishiha commune).
