BUJUMBURA April 18th (ABP) – The Burundi Development Agency, ADB, organized, on Friday, April 14, 2023, a workshop to inform about major existing projects and explore the possibilities of creating them, at the place of the various ministries and other public institutions, for investment promotion purposes, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
Indeed, the director general of the Development Agency of Burundi Mr. Didace Ngendakumana indicated that the organization of the workshop was to put the country on the rails of economic growth for its development and allow the population to access to a decent life.
Mr. Ngendakumana further added that all countries in the world can develop without exception because, he continued, to each country in the world, God has given the factors of production on which they can build their economic growth.
During the workshop, there were presentations on the identification of the various projects from the ministries, in particular the Ministry of Communication, Information Technologies and the Media which, exposed its main project as the foundation of Burundi’s key digitization infrastructure to realize a digital economy, with the emerging rise of Burundi, and also to develop the data strategy in order to design an infrastructure for data storage, analysis and processing, not to mention application hosting.
As for the Ministry of East African Community Affairs, Youth, Sports and Culture, he said that his main project is the establishment of a house of culture as well as the protection of cultural heritage. It should be noted that the Burundi Development Agency plays a major role in stimulating actors in the implementation of the National Development Plan in Burundi.
