KAYANZA February 10th (ABP) – Police operating in Kabarore commune of Kayanza province (north) seized on Wednesday, in Manga village, 50 kilograms of cassiterite-type minerals packed in two small bags.

The communal police commissioner in Kabarore, Mr. Eric Bigirimana, informs that the fraudsters run away towards Rwanda and that they threw another bag in the Kanyaru river. With regard to that situation, the governor of Kayanza asks the people to always remain vigilant to denounce the fraudsters so that they are brought to justice. According to Mr. Bigirimana, those 50 kilograms of cassiterite in transit to Rwanda seized on Wednesday afternoon in Manga village were packed in two small bags. Finding that they were being chased by the police, the fraudsters threw another bag into the Kanyaru River and departed for Rwanda.

The same police information source deplores that some members of the joint security committees are complicit in the fraud, the reason why some fraudsters flee freely. Thus, he invites them to change mentalities, especially by denouncing fraudsters so that they are apprehended and brought to justice. Regarding those ores and four kilograms of sugar seized in the Manga village on Monday of the current week, the Governor of Kayanza, Colonel Rémy Cishahayo, says he is shocked by the fraudsters and promises that any fraudster who will one day be apprehended will face the music according to the offense committed, and that, in an exemplary way. He recommends that the people always remain vigilant to denounce fraudsters because, according to him, they are enemies who must be fought with the utmost energy.
