GITEGA December 20th (ABP) – Members of the Bene Samuragwa WhatsApp group, in collaboration with its partners, joined the people of the political capital Gitega (center of the country) on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in sanitation works of the gutter located in front of the Gitega sports ground.
In his speech, the representative of Bene Samuragwa located throughout the country, Mr. Mélance Nimbona, said that they are used to joining other Burundians from different provinces in the construction of public infrastructure to make their contributions. It is for that reason that, according to him, the members of the said group gave Gitega province a donation of 375 bags of BUCECO cement.
Bene Samuragwa’s partners, including Sopec microfinance and BIC insurance, respectively donated 50 bags each, while Turame microfinance offered 60 bags of cement.
Those members of the Bene Samuragwa WhatsApp group also gave food consisting of rice and beans to forty poorer people, at the rate of 5 kg of rice and 5 kg of beans to each of them.
Gitega Governor Venant Manirambona thanked all those who contributed the cement that will be used in the construction of that sports ground. He also called on other friends of that province to also make their contributions to finalize that work.
