KAYANZA December 13th (ABP) – The Ministry of Communication, Information Technology and the Media has organized since Thursday, December 8, 2022 trips to different communes of Kayanza province to train communal officials on communication for development in support of the National Development Plan (PND 2018-2027).
The communes visited are Gatara, Matongo, Kayanza and Muruta. The participants in the meetings were advisers to communal administrators in charge of economic issues, development and statistics, representatives of political parties, those of religious denominations, youth and women representatives, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
During those trips, the media director at the Ministry of Communication, Information Technology and the Media, Mr. Aloys Haziyo, pointed out that those trips were organized with a view to encouraging participants to take ownership of the national communication strategy for development and to favor horizontal communication in support of the PND 2018-2027. He asked that there always be a frank dialogue and consultation when it comes to the planning and development of projects to be implemented for any community.
In addition, he invited participants to promote constructive communication and to fight against violent communication. He also called on the committees deemed vulnerable to change their mentalities, especially to avoid discriminating against each other but rather to join others in order for their self-development to come true.
