CANKUZO May 12th (ABP) – The Ministry of East African Community Affairs, Youth, Sports and Culture, through the Burundi Youth Employment Agency is organizing, in Cankuzo province (east of Burundi), from Tuesday May 10 to Friday May 13, 2022, a practical training workshop in audio-visual techniques for young unemployed graduates from this province, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

On the first day, the young girls expressed their feeling of satisfaction at being together with the boys in the said training aimed at changing their mentality.

The profession of taking photos and videos is for boys, they believe, thinking that the advanced techniques used are beyond their comprehension.

On that occasion, all those young participants (boys and girls) indicated that this opportunity will help them to reach full development, committing to regroup in studio cooperatives. Those groups will come as a response to the wish of the director of the Burundian employment agency and delegate of the ministry having youth in his attributions, Mr. Vital Niyungeko.

According to that same personality, it is time to break the habit of the outstretched hand, rather of self-development. He thus called on the beneficiaries to learn by heart these concepts, which are so useful on a daily basis and to share what they have learned with others. He said that the Ministry of East African Community Affairs, Youth, Sports and Culture, will support, through that Agency, the cooperatives with the equipment necessary for the studios.

In order to better understand, the participants asked for an increase in the training period and even for teaching materials such as computers.

As for the advisor to the governor of Cankuzo province in charge of socio-cultural affairs, Mrs. Evelyne Dusenge, she positively appreciated the project and asked for their intervention in other areas of youth development.
