BUJUMBURA March 9th (ABP) – The football association “helps” organized a training workshop for its players on the theme “hygiene and personal hygiene”, Saturday March 5, 2022 in Nyakabiga, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

In an interview given to the check by ABP, the vice leader of the association, Mr. Guillain Iraganje confirmed that the association contributes a lot in the development of the country in general and of the children in particular who rank in development football and not in professional football.

The association was created in 2011 by 7 members with the aim of bringing together children under 15 to teach them activities related to self-development and football games. It currently has 715 members, including 54 adults who contribute to the education of the association’s child players. It also has 16 teams in the Nyakabiga area, 12 teams in Kabezi and 8 girls’ teams in Buterere. Each team is made up of a maximum of fifteen members, he said.

According to Mr. Iraganje, the whole month of March will be marked by the theme “hygiene and personal hygiene” and children will learn about hand washing with soap, nail and hair hygiene. The same activity is also carried out in Buterere with teams of girls under 20 and in Kabezi where the national center called “Umoja” Unity Center will soon be erected.

Among the problems encountered, Mr. Iraganje cites the lack of land for football games and the means to establish them in all corners of the country for the smooth running of activities.
