MURAMVYA January 28th (ABP) – In an interview given to a check by ABP, Cassilde Ndayisenga, Provincial Director of Education in Muramvya province (Centre-West) says that they are at work in relation to preparations for national examinations including the national competition and the state examination. She says they are continuing to make coaching visits to schools as national competitive practice tests are being administered.

That shows, according to DPE Muramvya, that preparations are going well. She reported that with the second trimester, the programs will be completed so that the third trimester is scheduled for the reviews and practice tests that will continue.

The Provincial Director of Education in Muramvya reported that the school province was fortunate to have a project called Performance Based Funding funded by CORDAID and implemented by the ADSS project.

Cassilde Ndayisenga says that this project helps a lot to improve the quality of education by setting up trained local associations that help detect faults committed at the level of basic schools. Speaking about the fruits that this performance-based financing project has already brought in the province, Cassilde Ndayisenga answers in the affirmative because according to her, the fruits are remarkable because in 2020 before the arrival of the project, the success in the national competition was 63% while in 2021 with the support of CORDAID the success soared to 93%.

Mrs. Cassilde said she thinks the success will continue to grow as the project which was only implemented in three out of five communes last year will be implemented in all five communes of Muramvya province this year. To principals and teachers who are not serious at work, the provincial director of education gives a wink before the members of the local associations in formation produce negative reports.

Recall that the school province of Muramvya was ranked 8th in the National course of 9th fundamental edition 2021.
