CIBITOKE January 11th (ABP) – At least 25 kilograms and 19 balls of Indian hemp and half a liter of prohibited drink called Kanyanga, seized this weekend, in the Ndava area of Buganda commune, Cibitoke province, according to sources administrative and police.
It is about 25 kilos of hemp seized last Saturday, at the only residence of a certain Deo Harindintwari of the village Ndava-Village in Buganda commune.
The latter was able to take off and the police are pursuing him, to apprehend him and question him about this kind of trafficking, we learned.
That seizure followed that of January 7, 2022 in the locality of Nyamitanga, when the police, informed by a person of good faith, got hold of 19 hemp balls, in the house belonging to a man named Donatien Niyongabo, who was handed over to the OPJ, to reveal the supplier, according to local sources.
It was also in the last weekend that the police apprehended the named Zawadi
Mbonimpa, from Nyamitanga village in Buganda commune, in possession of half a liter of prohibited drink known as Kanyanga, according to well-informed sources. It is, for the moment, in the hands of an OPJ, the same source told us.
Note also the seizure of two bags of plastic bags banned in Burundi, operated by the police, that weekend in Nyamitanga of Buganda commune, from the DR Congo, according to information gathered in Buganda.
