Provincial representatives of religious denominations are called on to contribute to the well-being of their followers

BUBANZA July 27th (ABP) – Representatives of religious denominations working in Bubanza province (north-west of Burundi) are called upon to give their contribution in the well-being of the inhabitants on the spot, who are also their followers. This was stated during the meeting which was organized on Friday July 23 by the governor of Bubanza for the provincial representatives of religious denominations.

During the meeting, the governor of Bubanza, Mr. Cléophas Nizigiyimana, invited those representatives of religious denominations to support the responsible and hard-working State, through development projects. He asked them to mobilize their followers in favor of the development of their homeland, the support of the government program, in the good development and organization of arable land for the increase in agricultural production. He also urges them to sensitize them in favor of good cohabitation, the safeguard of peace and security, the good management of the harvest, and respect for preventive measures taken against the Coronavirus pandemic. In addition, he invites them to give their contribution in the implementation of provincial development projects, such as the construction of the modern stadium at the headquarters of the province and others.

Representatives of religious denominations pledged their contribution, while pleading for the exemption of equipment used for projects of general interest, a check by ABP revealed.

Note that on the same Friday, there was the closing of a four-day workshop that was organized for representatives of religious denominations operating in that province, by the Association known as “Mustard Seed Outreach Community-Burundi (MSOC-BURUNDI), which invited them to be “salt and light” in their respective localities.
