The President of the Republic has received the credentials of the new ambassadors of the United Kingdom and the Qatar

GITEGA September 20th (ABP) – The Head of State of Burundi, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye received in the hearing on Friday 17 September at the Presidential Palace of Gitega, two new ambassadors of the United Kingdom and Qatar, Burundi, respectively Mr. Omar Talah Ali Daair and Mr. Hussain Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim al-Homaid who had come to present their letters of receivables.

The President of the Republic of Burundi has also granted an interview to those diplomats, the exchanges that focused on the state of strengthening cooperation relations between Burundi and these countries, according to the press point made by the Deputy Word of the President of the Republic of Burundi, Alain Diomede Nzeyimana.

During the maintenance, the new Ambassador of the United Kingdom indicated that he came with a clear message from the Queen Eisabeth of England who reaffirms the political will of the leaders, in terms of strengthening relations between those two countries.

He pointed out that the United Kingdom is impressed by Burundi’s economic and political activities, and the decisions of the President of Burundi in good governance and the fight against corruption. He also appreciated the improvement of the daily living conditions of Burundians.

The United Kingdom ambassador said, moreover, that his country will continue the training of the Burundian military at Amissom in Somalia. The United Kingdom will also continue the granting of scholarships, he said, stating that this year is planned six scholarships for Burundi.

The new ambassador will also strengthen economic relations especially in the context of Burundi tea that is appreciated in the global market, highlighted the spokesperson.

On his part, the new ambassador of the Qatar indicated that it reinforces the relationship between Burundi and that country.

Those relations have just been concretized by the opening of the new Embassy of Burundi in Qatar and the appointment of the Burundian ambassador to that country.

The Qatar Ambassador to Burundi took the opportunity to invite the President of the Republic of Burundi to visit that country.

That visit will allow the exchange of experience between these two countries especially that the Qatar develops at an accelerated pace.

The qualities of the Qatar have opened their doors to foreigners. Because, explained the spokesman, it’s the Qatar that will organize next year the World Cup in Football.

He also addressed thanks to the President of Burundi on the visible evolution of relations between those countries in just one year.
