The Head of State inaugurated works built as part of the implementation of the 2040-2060 vision

BUJUMBURA March 7th (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye visited Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in Isare commune, Bujumbura province (western Burundi), where he inaugurated the management office Provincial Education (DPE), a work which cost 400 million BIF and in which parents contributed 300 million BIF, while a sum of 100 million was granted by other donors, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

President Ndayishimiye also inaugurated the Commercial Bank of Burundi Agency (BANCOBU) built, according to the manager of the Agency, to serve the population of Bujumbura province. According to him, that work cost one billion FBU and has already granted credits to more than 500 clients. The president and his entourage then headed to the lodge which will house the governor whose work has just been completed.

Governor Désiré Nsengiyumva informed the president that that shelter comes largely from community work carried out by the population while the Presidency of the Republic contributed in sheet metal, cement, concrete iron. Its cost amounts to 700 million FBU, according to the governor.

The last stop of his visit was the Benga area where he visited a factory manufacturing palm oil, laundry soaps and oil from palm nuts.

Magenzi farm’s activities also include pig and chicken breeding. That company currently has 160 pigs and 400 chickens including 300 layers, according to Mr. Albin Nkudabagenzi, the owner.

The Head of State was satisfied with the achievements of that farm which are in line with the 2040 vision, with an emerging and developed Burundi in 2060.
