ASSOREMA members promise to support their native province in all development activities

MAKAMBA March 5th (ABP) – Members of the Association of National Officers of Makamba Province (ASSOREMA) joined forces last Saturday with the population of Mihongo village, Nyange zone of the commune and Makamba province (south of Burundi) in the activities of tracing contour lines over an area of 21,600 m² where 1,900 m of lengths were traced, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

They asked the population to focus more on development activities, especially those of production, especially since peace and security are in good shape.

The governor of Makamba, Mrs. Tantine Ncutinamagara, on that occasion, indicated that the population is working on development activities. It is working to increase agricultural production, starting with environmental protection by digging contour lines and planting forest, agro-forestry and fruit trees, reported the provincial authority.

The provincial secretary of the CNDD-FDD, Mr. Sylvain Nzikoruriho, who joined those officers, asked them to develop the tourism sector by building hotels and developing existing tourist sites in the new province of Burunga.

Speaking, the representative of ASSOREMA members, Pol Domitien Niyonkuru, asked the population to pay more attention to the activities of development to meet the vision of emerging Burundi in 2040 and developed in 2060 because, he specified, the defense and security forces are there to ensure the peace and security of all Burundians. He promised that those officers will continue to support their native province in all its development activities.
