The President of the Senate has participated in community works in Bukinanyana

CIBITOKE, November 14th (ABP) – The President of the Burundian Senate, Emmanuel Sinzohagera, joined on November 11, 2023, with the people of Bukinanyana commune, in Cibitoke province, in community development work. The activity of the day was the moving of the rubble and the mixing of the concrete, for the installation of the foundation, for the health center (CDS) of Bihembe in the Ndora zone, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

In his speech to the participants, Mr. Sinzohagera congratulated the administration which consulted with the people, for that social infrastructure, which will undoubtedly reduce the distance that the people would have to travel to seek treatment.

He encouraged the people to tackle development activities, to align with the Government’s vision of an emerging Burundi in 2040 and developed in 2060. He called on the inhabitants of Bukinanyana to maintain peace and tighten security, which are the pillar of development.

To achieve sustainable development, he said, the contribution of everyone is essential. He called the people to rabbit farming and the raising of small cattle. The President of the Senate also invited the people of Bukinanyana to respond in large numbers to the activities planned during the passage of the torch of peace, which travels through all the communes of the country, to illuminate development activities.

He clarified that in such passages, the torch leaves construction materials on construction sites, including cement, iron sheets and iron bars.

During this Senators’ recess, Mr. Sinzohagera announced his institution’s program to visit health care facilities, to see how patients are received and treated. They also plan to visit prisons to check the conditions of inmates and companies like BUCECO to learn about the working conditions of employees, he said.
