Delivery of school textbooks to Maramvya Basic School

MWARO November 6th (ABP) – The Basic School Maramvya located in Kayokwe commune of Mwaro province benefited on November 2, 2023, from a donation consisting of school textbooks for teachers and students in grades 7, 8 and 9th grade, from the natives of Maramvya village.

To contribute to the education sector, the natives of that village working in the country and abroad, saw fit to purchase school textbooks with a value of more than 1,900,000 BIF, at the time when it was observes the lack of books for students and guides for teachers at Maramvya Basic School.

The representative of the natives of the said village where the school is built, Paul Nditije reported that after receiving the call from the director of the beneficiary school, expressing the need for teaching materials, the natives gathered to find a solution to the problem.

He specified that the 7th year class benefited from three guides for teachers of mathematics, science and technology and human sciences courses. The 8th and 9th year classes had ten books for mathematics students, ten humanities books and a teacher’s guide for each discipline and ten books for language students (Volume I, II, III). The 9th grade class also benefited from ten science and technology books.

When handing over those school textbooks, Mr. Nditije asked the students of that school for the proper management of those books. The communal director of education in Kayokwe, Juvenal Ndayikeje encouraged such initiatives, while calling on natives of other villages to follow in the footsteps of those of Maramvya village.
