GITEGA, October 12th (ABP) – On the proposal of the President of the Republic of Burundi, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, the Burundian senators meeting in plenary assembly on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Gitega hemicycle, approved unanimously three names of candidates for the positions of provincial governor.
These include, in particular, Mrs. Tantine Ncutinamagara for the province of Makamba, Mr. Euphraim Ndikumasabo and Police Colonel Victor Segasago, respectively for the provinces of Muramvya and Kirundo.
The same senators also unanimously approved the candidacy of Brigadier General Jules Ndihokubwayo for the position of ambassador. Until approval of candidacy, he was chief of protocol to the Head of State.
All these nominations were presented in front of the senators by the Minister of Interior, Community Development and Public Security, Mr. Martin Niteretse.
