RUYIGI September 14th (ABP) – The NGO Save the Children delivered, on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 12, 2023, a donation of 3,000 notebooks worth seven million five hundred thousand Burundian francs (7,500,000 BIF), in the Ruyigi province which are reserved for the most deprived children to facilitate their return to school.
That donation aligns with the province’s goal of encouraging all school-aged children to attend school. That donation was received by the secretary of the governor’s office, Mr. Alexandre Ndagijimana.
That NGO was represented by the provincial branch head of the child protection project, Mr. Yahya Nderagakura and the latter indicated that his organization always stands ready to cooperate and support any action and initiative likely to promote the rights of the child.
