NGOZI August 17th (ABP) – According to the medical director of the health province of Ngozi, Dr Jean Bosco Niyonzima, the 95% target that the health province of Ngozi had set itself, during the recent vaccination campaign against poliomyelitis, last June, was largely exceeded, according to the national classification.

This was declared on Monday August 14 during a provincial social mobilization workshop for the preparation of the second national polio vaccination campaign which is to start on Thursday August 17th. Dr. Niyonzima praised the results achieved but deplored a number of challenges including travel difficulties due to the lack of fuel. There is also the resistance of some people who do not understand the importance of vaccination. Dr. Nizigama demands the total involvement of the administration so that the next campaign is 100% successful.

That workshop was attended by representatives of the administration, religious denominations, education, health and civil society.
