BUJUMBURA July 3rd (ABP) – The CNDD-FDD party, as usual, organized on June 29, 2023, the last Thursday of the month, an interfaith prayer in the national office of the party, to give thanks to God for his grace during the month of June. The prayer was held under the theme: “Love and faith lead us to the Kingdom of God”.

In his preaching, the priest Hilgien Ngendakumana based himself on the word of God drawn from the letter of Saint Paul to the Galatians, 10; 9-10. That preacher invited everyone to do good to others wherever they are, explaining that apart from sharing the same homeland Burundi, all are children of God, therefore brothers and sisters.

He also asked the Bagumyabanga to keep unity in their faith, ethnic, regional diversity and to forgive each other.

CNDD-FDD party activists are urged to avoid all that is sinful, always giving thanks to God for his blessings. “God kept us and protected Burundi,” he said.

He also called on the leaders of the ruling party, who were present in the prayer, to be in communion with their colleagues, to avoid the divisive spirit, to help one another, explaining that “A kingdom divided is a vanishing kingdom.”

The Deputy Secretary General of the CNDD-FDD party, Mr. Cyriaque Nshimirimana, also returned to the theme of the day and said thank you to God for the peace and security that reign throughout the national territory.

He invited the Bagumyabanga to help each other, while arguing that no one is enough on their own. He advised them to manage agricultural production well, to protect the environment by avoiding bush fires and by making good management of waste, especially plastic packaging, which destroys the environment.

The Bagumyabanga are also asked to protect the rivers that cross the Bujumbura City Council and to beautify the city by growing many trees for the protection of the banks of those rivers. They are asked to prepare nurseries for those trees while preserving the environment.

Mr. Nshimirimana also called on ruling party activists to look after the development of their families and the country, while following the legacy of the late President Pierre Nkurunziza, to have a patriotic spirit.
