CANKUZO July 3rd (ABP) – The secretary general of the CNDD-FDD party, Mr. Révérien Ndikuriyo ended his visits to Cankuzo province (eastern Burundi), on Thursday June 29, 2023.

After Gisagara and Cendajuru communes, he met the Bagumyabanga of Cankuzo and Mishiha communes.

Mr. Ndikuriyo recalled that the CNDD-FDD party is for all Burundians, hence no one can appropriate it. Its objective is to remake Burundi a precolonial country to stop talking about the stories of ethnic groups and other divisions sown by the colonizers.

He called on the Bagumyabanga to have a development vision for their households, not to mention to upbring their descendants well.

According to the secretary general of the ruling party, it is therefore important to be aware of the country’s history to imitate the leaders who have marked the country a lot in the past and their legacies. To succeed, the practice of humility and mutual help are necessary.

He took the opportunity to condemn the rebellious behavior that is often observed in Burundi, saying that it is time to maintain democracy and evolve professionally in sustainable development.

He then called on the Bagumyabanga and the entire population in general to prioritize development activities and maintain public infrastructure.

Mr. Ndikuriyo then participated in the interfaith prayer organized every last Thursday of the month. Following that visit to Cankuzo province, the members of the party in that province gave his family goats, chickens and food.
