After the analysis of the works of art produced by 10 finalists, Mrs. Ange Quinthia Ikuze, a self-taught artist was the first and received a cheque of BIF 1,500,000. The second was Hervé Ndayishima. He received a cheque for BIF 1,000,000 and the third was Guillain Nishimwe. He received a cheque BIF 500,000.

The artistic director of Magazime Jimbere Mr. Floribert Nisabwe said that this competition was organized with the objective of restoring the image of art in Burundi, to detect and accompany young talents, but also to communicate through art which is a universal language in order to educate the population because, according to him, talking about sexuality in Burundi is a taboo subject that requires little gymnastics.

He also pointed out that each participant chose a place to illustrate while respecting the instructions set. Among these guidelines were respect for the theme, composition, originality, expression, aesthetics and execution technique.

Mrs. Ikuze, a student at Bujumbura International University, called on the young talented people not to underestimate themselves, not to be afraid but to believe in themselves. She invited them to work and compete to show what they can do.
