The Vice President of the Republic has joined the people in the manufacture of bricks

KAYANZA January 30th (ABP) – The Vice President of the Republic of Burundi, Mr. Prosper Bazombanza, joined the people of Kayanza province (north) on Saturday, January 28, 2023, in community development work consisting of the manufacture of bricks which will be used for the construction of the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Kayanza (ISPK). That community university is being erected in Ruganza village, Matongo commune, a check in Kayanza by ABP has revealed.

In his welcoming speech, the governor of Kayanza, Rémy Cishahayo, recalled that the inhabitants of that province have contributed enough to the construction of the international stadium of Gatwaro, the provincial head office of the CNDD-FDD party and the provincial 4-storey office, which houses different provincial services.

Regarding the community university, he pointed out that part of the bricks being made will be sold. The money from that sale will be used in the purchase of other building materials. On that occasion, he asked the Vice President of the Republic to intervene to have a good market for bricks.

In his speech for the occasion, the Vice President of the Republic congratulated Kayanza province for the good project to build a community university. He added that the latter meets the needs of the country because the candidates for that one will be hired at both national and international level and this will be the pride of every inhabitant of Kayanza. He asked Governor Cishahayo to organize community development work every Saturday as required by the Burundi Head of State, which will allow the annual inauguration of the activities carried out, Mr. Bazombanza added.

He also asked the people to organize themselves to fight against soil erosion through the drawing of contour lines. He recommended that students continue their studies in order to significantly reduce dropout rates and allow the home province to rank among the top provinces in terms of success. In addition, the Vice President of the Republic asked the students not to be confused so that they benefit, in the future, from the knowledge acquired.
