KIRUNDO January 17th (ABP) – The police operating in Bugabira commune of Kirundo province (northern Burundi), in collaboration with the administration and the military, seized at the night of January 13 to 14, 2023, in Rugasa village, fraudulent products consisting of two bundles of clothes and 2.5 kilograms of minerals, which were transported to Rwanda, according to the administrator of Bugabira commune, Mr. Eric Twizerimana.

He said that the fraudsters who had those products, by clashing with the police, fled, and the police are searching for them.

He added that the motorcycle registered under the number GA 2156, which was carrying the fraud, was seized.

Mr. Twizerimana warned people who continue to jeopardize the development of the country’s economy, insisting that they will achieve nothing and that severe sanctions are provided for the recalcitrant.

It should be noted that cases of fraud are being talked about, especially in Bugabira and Ntega communes, bordering the Republic of Rwanda.
