Residents of Rutana commune urged to maintain security

RUTANA, May 29th (ABP) – On Saturday 25 May, the Deputy Inspector of the Burundi National Police, Christophe Manirambona, joined the people of the commune and province of Rutana (south-east Burundi) in community development work, which consisted of filling in a pit near the building that will house the provincial office currently under construction, according to local sources.

During his speech, Mr Manirambona called on the inhabitants of Rutana commune to maintain security, because, he stressed, development is only possible when security is guaranteed.

In order to maintain security, he invited the people of the said district to cooperate with the forces of law and order by providing regular information on the security situation in their area.

He also called on them to work in synergy to achieve the vision of Burundi as an emerging country by 2040 and a developed country by 2060.

The Chief of Staff of the Governor of Rutana Province, Beline Nahimana, called on the population to increase production in the same way as they have done in the past.  population to increase production in order to achieve the country’s vision.
