Three people accused of intentionally injuring police officers have been convicted

MWARO 28th (ABP) – A general penal servitude of 2 years in prison and the payment of a fine of 100,000 BIF, was the sanction imposed on three people from Makamba zone, Rusaka commune in Mwaro province, accused of intentionally injured two police officers operating in the headquarters of the Makamba zone.

These are 28-year-old Augustin Tuyisabe, 21-year-old Bienvenue Niyorumuri and 28-year-old Nkeshimana Edouard. They were also accused, during that fragrance trial on Monday, December 26, 2022, of rebellion against security officers.

In the event of non-payment of that fine, the Mwaro High Court has indicated that they will have to serve a subsidiary penal servitude of 6 more months.
